Campo Retro: A Look At A Great Site For Classic Football Shirts
With the price of a club kit now requiring remortgaging or the selling of body parts, my collection of football kits has rather tailed off down the years, my Kappa kit turning out to be the end of the road.
However, having the newest top was never important to me and the choice of replica and classic kits available nowadays provide a much more attractive choice at much better value. So to break the habit of a decade the top below (see link) recently got stuffed through my letterbox and has been worn ever since.
The Maracana shirt is a classic sky blue kit that reminds you of City without the sponsorship logos.
It is part of a range of shirts from Campo Retro, a site that specialises in retro shirts and classic club shirts, with the option to personalise your top if required. The full range can be found at
The best section for me is the Club Colours section: http://www.camporetro.com/Stadio-Team-Colours
The designs are beautiful – and no I’m not on commission, but think a good site should always be publicised and my shirt is as beautiful and crisp as it appeared on the site.
What’s more, there is a section of classic City kits, with some reduced in price much of the time. The link is here:
Who could resist the 1982 home shirt for just £20?
Take a look, and whilst you’re at it enter the competition to win two tickets with flights and accommodation to the Champions League Final – don’t worry, there’s no chance you’ll be watching United.
